This 16kW rooftop solar array will begin installation just in time for you to tour.
Attend the Rooftop Solar Tour on July 26th to hear about the project, listen to speakers, enjoy some treats, and learn how to support SOLS in its efforts to make solar a reality sooner for the School District of La Crosse.
A tour of the installation will begin at 4:15 p.m. after introductory remarks by speakers and installers from Solar Connection.

ABOUT THE PANELS
This system will use 540 W bifacial modules and microinverters for optimal power production.
The Polytechnic project has gone through several iterations to determine the best design that would safely comply with structural standards.
While most flat roof systems only use ballast weight to hold the solar panels and racking to the roof, this system will utilize a combination of attachment points and ballast. The attachments lower the amount of ballast needed - resulting in less weight installed on the roof. Solar Connection installers are working with the school's original roofing company to ensure continuity of the roof warranty.
